The dvd-players are the greatst technological improvemente in the home video areas. The public of home viewing was so used to VHS tapes the DVD features found in players are a revolution. And although the cost was higher most of us believed it was a good solution to accept. And at that time the VHS came to an end since we now have a piece of technology which we can be proud of.

One of the most exciting features that these new dvd-players brought into the home was the bonus features. This is an exciting option that comes with store bought DVDs. Through these selections, viewers are able to watch extra scenes and other footage not seen in the theatrical release.

Technological developments are not without shortcomings. The bugs require ironing out. The discs handling is to be done carefully otherwise you will end up with a scratched disc. Even minor scratches give unpleasant experience while watching your favorite DVD wherein an important scene of the movie pauses or stumbles. This is quite tragic.
