Healthier looking skin with Mineral Makeup Cosmetics?

Mineral face makeup is the new hot trend in the future of cosmetics. Organic makeup is considered better for you then the more traditional kinds because mineral makeup cosmetics do not contain talc, dye, fragrances and even oils that can irritate or even clog the skin.

Mineral makeup cosmetics are a hot item popular with today’s health-conscious woman. Cosmetic companies are in heated competition to offer this popular product to their customers. Many of these companies are investing in the development of their own line of mineral cosmetics using various minerals to produce different colors and effects.

A healthier makeup innovation is being marketed by the cosmetic industry. Previously developed makeup did not emphasize the advantages of minerals. These ingredients and pigments are anti-inflammatory and purified. They are all natural. Minerals, such as zinc oxide, provide a natural sunscreen. This will provide the consumer with protection from UV rays as well as from bacteria.

One of the major ingredients used in the development of mineral makeup cosmetics is mica. Mica is milled into a fine white powder in which numerous colored pigments are added. The variety of colors added to mica makes it a perfect base for mineral face makeup matching any skin tone and texture. The finer it is ground, the silkier the feel.

Iron oxide is also commonly used in mineral makeup. This is commonly referred to as rust. It is put into cosmetics for a yellow or bronzing effect. Bismuth oxychloride can be used to increase shine in the makeup. Bismuth also adds a luminescence to the product and helps create a satin like glow to the finish. Titanium dioxide is added to the makeup for whitening for adaption for various skin tones.

These are just a few of the minerals being used in the emerging industry of mineral makeup cosmetics. As more cosmetic companies vie for the mineral cosmetics market, the more minerals will be milled and developed. Today, companies offer mineral makeup products that help moisturize dry skin to look and feel healthier, prevent acne and clogged pores, smoother coverage and a silkier feel than older cosmetics and a product to give the light feel of natural skin.
